The Alliance in the community

Several Alliance members had the pleasure to work with Pinellas County Public School teachers yesterday during their professional development day. Education programing and outreach is central to our mission as we work to strengthen relationships between communities and researchers. The Alliance believes it is important to view students as student-community members, not just students in a classroom. Long term preservation and education can be achieved by working directly with students who ARE members of the community interested in solving contemporary community issues. A big THANK YOU to Pinellas County Schools for allowing us to engage with your teachers!
